This year’s celebrations of World Fish Migration day had to be reconsidered, because of the global pandemic situation. Our team in Romania marked the occasion with a short film, dedicated to fish. The ”World Fish Migration Day” film was aired on national TV on Saturday, 24th October 2020.
The video was financed by the Danube Transnational Programme project “MEASURES” and in the spirit of collaboration included information about the activities and results of the LIFE for Danube Sturgeons project. The film, which goes into details about the rivers longitudinal connectivity and the sturgeon restocking done under the MEASURES project, also showed the importance of the work with law enforcement authorities and fishermen. It will be aired again in 2021 on the following channels – Jan-March 2021 on TVR 2, TVR Moldova, TVR Cluj, TVR Mures, TVR Craiova, TVR Timisoara.
